Argentina Betting Tips – Copa Libertadores: Week 2
It is the second day of the group stage of the Copa Libertadores, with several Argentinian teams up again, with many looking to make amends from their round 1 performances. We’re looking at you Boca…
Â
Â
Cerro Porteno (Par) vs Colon Santa Fe (Arg)
Colon started the competition in the right way, as we had predicted, beating the very tough Penarol of Uruguay in a hard fought match by 2-1. On the other hand, their opponents Cerro Porteno drew 0-0 in the first match, but have shown a very good level of performance throughout the season, which led them to position themselves in second place in the local Paraguayan league. No doubt this will be a tough game for Colon, even tougher than the previous one, with the added factor that they are playing away in Paraguayan soil, which is never easy.
Although it is one of the most difficult games to predict, we can expect two possible outcomes from this match, first a win for Cerro Porteno by the minimum difference, or also a draw.

Boca Juniors (Arg) vs Always Ready (Bol)
Boca have disappointed us in their Copa Libertadores debut, playing away against America de Cali (who are at the bottom of the Colombian league) and losing in a disgraceful manner by 0-2. Showing nothing positive on the pitch, and with many fans calling for the resignation of coach Sebastian Batagglia on social media. This week they face Always Ready, a weak Bolivian side, at home. While we have hinted that Boca would win before and left us empty handed, this time we will do so again, as they play with the support of their home fans and against a far inferior opponent.
In all its history, Boca has played fifteen times at home against Bolivian teams, and has never been defeated, with twelve wins and three draws. If Boca loses this game, it will definitely be a disaster and without doubt their manager will be fired.

Flamengo (Bra) vs Talleres Cordoba (Arg)
Talleres face one of the toughest opponents in the competition, and they are not playing at a high level of football. They have won their Copa Libertadores opener 1-0 against Universidad Catolica of Chile. Talleres have yet to find a level of effectiveness in their football, resulting in them being at the bottom of the Argentinean domestic league. In addition, they face Flamengo, who in recent years, along with River and Palmeiras, are among the strongest teams on the continent, and who have also managed to win convincingly in their debut 2-0 against Sporting Cristal of Peru.
Without going any further, the outcome of this match is very simple to predict, as it would have to be a miracle if Talleres can take a positive result from Brazilian lands. Our favourite to win the match is overwhelmingly Flamengo, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see a landslide.

River Plate (Arg) vs Fortaleza (Bra)
The last match of the second day of the Copa Libertadores, and perhaps the most interesting and fun to watch. We have River, the best team in all of Argentina, an unstoppable beast that destroys whoever they put in front of them. And on the other side we have Fortaleza, the Brazilian team that managed to be considered among the best teams last season and who have a very fast and dynamic style of play that has managed to put in trouble every team they have faced, to everyone’s surprise they started the Copa Libertadores with a home defeat against Colo Colo from Chile.
As we said at the beginning, we expect this to be the best game of the round. And as usual in all our analyses, the big favourite is River, especially considering that they are on a very positive streak, and that they will be playing at home in Argentina with seventy-five thousand fans supporting them.
