After a hard-fought draw against the Seagulls, the Saints make their way back for more Premier League action against Crystal Palace, seeking three points in a bid to remain above the Eagles. Southampton FC vs. Crystal Palace FC kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 30, at St. Mary’s Stadium.

Southampton bagged a point in a Ward-Prowse-inspired comeback 2-2 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion at the AMEX. Danny Welbeck (2') tapped in from close range in the opening minutes before an own goal from Salisu (44' O.G.) compounded Southampton’s woes. However, a 25-yard free-kick from James Ward-Prowse (45'+4, 54') at the stroke of half-time, coupled with another long-range strike, saw the Saints back on level terms. The draw leaves Southampton without a win in two Premier League matches, DLWLD, and in 13th place, having picked up 40 points from 9W, 13D, and 12L. A top-half finish appears to be the only achievable objective left in sight for Southampton, who are currently sitting two points outside the top-ten. The Saints have won 56% of their 25 Premier League games against Crystal Palace [14W, 7D, & 4L] and would like to see that percentage go up at the end of the weekend. Having conceded 19 goals in their last eight Premier League games, with an average of two goals per match in six episodes, Ralph Hasenhüttl would like to see his side keep it tight at the back when he lays out the 4—4—2. Che Adams and Armando Broja are expected in the two-pronged attack, while James Ward-Prowse is on the verge of equaling David Beckham’s single-season record of five direct free-kick goals. Meanwhile, Alex McCarthy has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash.

After an embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Cityzens, the Seagulls take on the Saints in another attempt to secure a place in the top-ten. The Premier League fixture, Brighton & Hove Albion vs. Southampton FC, kicks off at 14:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, April 24, at the Falmer Stadium.

Southampton picked up a 2-0 defeat to Burnley on Thursday at Turf Moor, courtesy of goals by Connor Roberts (12’) and Nathan Collins (44’). "The first half simply not aggressive enough, not sharp enough. They defended well and we didn't have the quality to break them down," a disappointed Ralph Hasenhüttl said in a post-match interview. The defeat leaves the Saints in 13th place with 39 points from 9W, 12D, and 12L, looking to return to winning ways, LDLWL. Southampton has won each of their last three Premier League away games against Brighton and are looking to pick up four consecutive top-flight wins on the road against an opponent for the first time in their club history. Only a point separates the Saints from the Seagulls in a tightly-packed mid-table section of the Premier League. A win here could see Southampton leap a few spots across the table if favorable results emerge elsewhere. Ralph Hasenhüttl’s 3—5—2 could see Armando Broja and Mohamed Elyounoussi return in attack once again.

After recently parting with long-term manager Sean Dyche, the Clarets look to breathe new life into their Premier League survival bid as they take on the Saints in another mid-week clash. Burnley FC vs. Southampton FC kicks off at 19:45 (GMT+1) on Thursday, April 21, at Turf Moor.

Southampton returned to winning ways following the 1-0 win over Arsenal on Saturday. The victory – the first in five PL games, LLDLW - saw the Saints move back to 12th place, having picked up 39 points from 9W, 12D, & 11L. Following the narrow 1-0 victory at Turf Moor last season, Southampton are looking to pick up back-to-back away league wins against Burnley for just the second time. However, the Saints have lost two of their last three Premier League games against sides in the relegation zone [1W, 0D, & 2L]. Furthermore, the Saints haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their last 13 mid-week PL matches played on Tuesday, Wednesday, or on Thursday. A defeat here could see the recent gains across the table swept aside. Ralph Hasenhüttl could stick with the 3—4—3 formation that earned him three points against Arsenal, leaving Armando Broja at the center of the attacking trio once again.

After the six-goal drubbing from the Blues, the Saints are looking to pick up the pieces this weekend when they take on the Gunners, hoping to return to winning ways. The Premier League fixture, Southampton F.C. vs. Arsenal F.C., kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 16, at the St. Mary's Stadium.

Southampton were totally blown away by Chelsea in last weekend’s 6-0 defeat on home soil. The embarrassing loss was a new low for Southampton, who now have four defeats in five games, LLLDL. The defeat saw the Saints move two spots down the table, from 12th to 14th place, having failed to earn a point on Premier League Match Week 32. The Saints have 36 points after 8W, 12D, and 11L. Southampton have lost their last two Premier League home games against Arsenal. - As many as they did in their previous 10 against them at St. Mary’s [4W, 4D, & 2L], and are looking to avoid three home defeats in a row against the Gunners. Furthermore, the Saints have conceded 10 goals in their last three home Premier League games, having lost all three. An unlikely win here could see Southampton climb a few spots up the table if favorable outcomes emerge elsewhere. Ralph Hasenhüttl’s 4—4—2 formation could see Che Adams and Armando Broja in attack once again. Meanwhile, Alex McCarthy remains doubtful for the weekend’s clash against Arsenal due to a hamstring injury.

After earning a point against the Peacocks, the Saints take on the Blues in another Premier League match, looking to return to winning ways, after going four games without victory. The Premier League clash, Southampton FC vs. Chelsea FC. kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 9, at St. Mary's Stadium.

Chelsea were well beaten in a 3-1 loss to Real Madrid on Wednesday night in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. A brace in the shape of two remarkable headers from none other than Karim Benzema (21’ & 24’) left Chelsea with a two-goal deficit inside half an hour. Kai Havertz (40’) reduced Chelsea’s two-goal deficit to one before a howler from Edouard Mendy opened the door for Benzema to complete the hat-trick in the 46th-minute. "We have to find our level back. I don't know where it is since the international break. The first half was a repetition of the second half against Brentford," Thomas Tuchel said in the post-match interview after the defeat. "We have to get things ready for Saturday. Not think about the Bernabeu today. Saturday, we face Southampton, and if we continue to play like this, we will not get a point," the Chelsea boss added. Before Wednesday’s defeat, Chelsea were beaten by Brentford, 4-1, leaving the Blues in 3rd place on the Premier League table with 59 points from 17W, 8D, and 4L. Chelsea have never suffered consecutive league defeats under Thomas Tuchel, last doing so in December 2020 under Frank Lampard. Looking to return to winning ways, WWWWL, Thomas Tuchel could appear with the 3—4—2—1 formation, having Kai Havertz at the top of the shape against Southampton.

After a remarkable comeback win over Wolves right before the international break, the Peacocks take on the Saints, looking to pick up a win in a bid to put daylight between themselves and the bottom three. The Premier League clash between Leeds United and Southampton FC kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 2 at Elland Road.

In their last game before the international break, the Saints were sent packing from the FA Cup following a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City in the quarter-finals. Back in the Premier League, Southampton suffered three consecutive defeats, WWLLL, following a 2-1 loss to Watford. The Saints dropped to 11th place on the Premier League table while remaining with 35 points from 8W, 11D, and 10L. Southampton are looking to complete a league double over Leeds for the first time in the Premier League, having done so in the 1981/82 campaign in the lower tier of English football. Ralph Hasenhüttl’s 4—4—2 formation could see Adam Armstrong and Shane Long in attack once again. Meanwhile, Alex McCarthy remains doubtful for the weekend’s clash against Leeds United due to a hamstring injury.

After a narrow defeat to the Magpies earlier in the week, the Saints make their return against the Hornets, looking to get back to winning ways. The Premier League fixture, Southampton F.C. vs. Watford F.C., kicks off at 15:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, March 13, at the St. Mary’s Stadium.

Southampton picked up a 2-1 defeat to Newcastle United on Thursday at home despite having the lead mid-way through the first half, courtesy of a goal from Stuart Armstrong (25’). A goal from Newcastle’s Chris Wood (32’), his first for the Magpies, and a superb backheel goal from Bruno Guimarães (52’) left the Saints without a point at the end of the clash. "It wasn't a bad game from us, but not a successful one, and that is frustrating," Ralph Hasenhüttl said while speaking to Sky Sports. The Saints will be returning with back-to-back defeats: DWWLL, while sitting in 10th place, having picked up 35 points from 8W, 11D, & 9L. Southampton have lost just three of their last 39 meetings against recently-promoted sides; 26W, 10D, 3L, and are looking to keep the numbers up when they take on the Hornets over the weekend. James Ward-Prowse has hit the back of the net in his last five Premier League starts against the Hornets. - A record high for the skipper in the Premier League. Ralph Hasenhüttl could lay out the familiar 4—4—2 with Che Adams and Armando Broja in attack on Sunday when this game gets underway.

Looking to put themselves back together after the embarrassing defeat at the hands of the Lions, the Saints travel back in time to Matchday 21, for this clash against the Magpies. The re-arranged Premier League fixture between Southampton and Newcastle United kicks off at 20:30 (GMT+1) on Thursday, March 10, at St. Mary's Stadium.

Southampton are back in the Premier League following last weekend’s 4-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park. Goals from Ollie Watkins (9') saw Southampton with a one-goal deficit inside the first ten minutes, before additional goals from Douglas Luiz (44'), Coutinho (52'), and Danny Ings (55') left the Saints with their first defeat in five games: WDWWL. Southampton currently sits in 9th place, with 35 points after 8W, 11D, and 8L. Ralph Hasenhüttl would like to see a much better performance and possibly a point on Thursday, knowing his team is unbeaten in five mid-week Premier League games this season [2W, 3D, & 0L]. In addition, the Saints are on their longest unbeaten run at home after going 10 games without a sniff of defeat [5W, 5D, & 0L]. Added to the conversation surrounding the permanent managerial role at Manchester United, Ralph Hasenhüttl could lay out the familiar 4—4—2 with Che Adams and Adam Armstrong in attack on Thursday when his side takes on Newcastle United.

After brushing the Seagulls aside, the Lions are back in the Premier League for the Saints, looking to narrow the gap on the top-ten at the end of Premier League Matchweek 28. Aston Villa FC vs. Southampton FC kicks off at 16:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, March 5, at Villa Park.

Southampton picked up a 3-1 win over West Ham on Wednesday in the 5th round of the FA Cup with Armando Broja (90’+5) wrapping up the win with the final kick of the game to see the Saints through to the next round of the tournament. Back on Premier League soil, Southampton picked up a 2-0 win over Norwich City last Friday at St. Mary’s Stadium. The win leaves the Saints unbeaten in five games DWDWW, while having 35 points after 8W, 11D, & 7L. Ralph Hasenhüttl who emphasized the importance of squad rotations ahead of the club’s FA Cup clash against the Irons, could be lining up the 4—4—2 formation with Che Adams and Armando Broja in attack. Barring any late developments, the Saints have no new injury worries ahead of the weekend’s fixture. Meanwhile, Nathan Tella, Alex McCarthy, and Lyanco remain sidelined and will not feature in this clash against the Lions.

After putting the sword to the Toffees, the Saints are back on crusade, taking on the Canaries in their unending quest to reclaim lost ground inside the top-ten at the end of this weekend's round of Premier League action. Southampton F.C. vs. Norwich City F.C., kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Friday, February 25, at St. Mary’s Stadium. With the help of the VAR, Jarred Gillett, referee Simon Hooper will have the luxury of officiating this game.

Southampton picked up a 2-0 win over Everton last weekend at home. Despite an onslaught on Everton following waves and waves of attack, the Saints failed to breach the Toffees’ backline over the course of the first forty-five minutes. Stuart Armstrong (52’) eventually broke the deadlock minutes after the break with a right-footed strike from an area inside the box. With minutes left on the clock, second-half substitute Shane Long (84’) wrapped up the three points for the Saints, seconds after getting off the bench. "We were more dominant in the second half and this is exactly the way we want to play," Ralph Hasenhüttl said after the game. The comfortable 2-0 win leaves Southampton in 10th place and unbeaten in four Premier League games: LDWDW. With 32 points from 7W, 11D, & 7L, Southampton trails 9th-placed Brighton by a point. A win on Friday would see the Saints move a spot up the table temporarily, ahead of Brighton’s game against Aston Villa on Saturday. With a great home record against the Canaries dating back to 1994, Ralph Hasenhüttl aims for three points, knowing that the club has never lost to the same bottom side twice in the Premier League. A 4—4—2 formation with Che Adams and Armando Broja in attack may be seen from Ralph Hasenhüttl on Friday when the Saints clash with the Canaries.
