The Ligue 1 fixture, ES Troyes AC vs. LOSC Lille, kicks off at 12:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, May 1, at Stade de l'Aube.

Lille picked up a 1-0 win over Strasbourg at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy last weekend, courtesy of a single goal from Mehmet Çelik (88') late in the second half. A cushioned left-footed effort from close range left Le Racing without a point and Lille with their first win in five games, DDLLW. LOSC are in 9th place on the Ligue 1 table, having picked up 51 points from 13W, 12D, and 9L. Lille are looking to secure a top-five finish for European football of any sort next season and are currently six points outside the section. Amid fierce fan discontent following Lille’s underwhelming season, Jocelyn Gourvennec will be looking to see his side pick up back-to-back victories. Last weekend at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, Lille players were greeted with unpleasant banners during the game against Le Racing. "You wrote history, then shame, get out," one of them read. "You no longer deserve to wear the jersey," another read. Jocelyn Gourvennec and Les Dogues would like to forget the unpleasant episode when they make an appearance against Troyes at Stade de l'Aube this weekend. A 4—4—2 with Jonathan David and Burak Yilmaz is expected in attack. Xeka's availability is in doubt, while Hatem Ben Arfa remains frozen out of the squad following the dressing room bust-up with Jocelyn Gourvennec.

The Ligue 1 fixture, LOSC Lille vs. RC Strasbourg Alsace, kicks off at 16:05 (GMT+1) on Sunday, April 24, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille were stunned in a mid-week 2-1 loss to Stade de Reims at the Stade Auguste Delaune on Wednesday. Munetsi (32') put Reims in the lead before Renato Sanches (57') found the leveler for Les Dogues in the second half. However, a late effort from Yunis Abdelhamid (90'+2) saw Jocelyn Gourvennec’s side pickup back-to-back defeats, WDDLL. Lille remains in 9th place with 48 points after 12W, 12D, and 9L. Les Dogues' chances of playing continental football continue to dwindle as they sit 8 points outside of European places. A victory here could see that gap reduced to five if favorable results emerge elsewhere. Lille have not lost any of their last eight games against Strasbourg in Ligue 1 [5W & 3D], with their last defeat, dating back to August 13, 2017 (0-3). Lille will be looking to avoid three consecutive losses in the top-flight when they take on Le Racing, having last seen one between December 2019 and January 2020 (3). Jocelyn Gourvennec aims to salvage the remains of a disastrous season that saw Lille unable to mount any form of title defense throughout the entire length of the campaign. A departure for the 50-year-old former Guingamp manager cannot be ruled out at the end of the season, despite a contract that runs till June 2023. Despite recent changes in both shape and attacking personnel, Lille has no victories in four games, having hit the back of the net only three times in all four. On Sunday, a 4—4—1—1 formation with Jonathan David at the top may be seen.

The Ligue 1 fixture, Stade de Reims vs. LOSC Lille, kicks off at 18:00 (GMT+1) on Wednesday, April 20, at the Stade Auguste Delaune.

Lille were stunned in a 2-1 loss to RC Lens over the weekend at Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Frankowski (4') got Lens off to a flying start with his fifth goal of the season to leave RC Lens with the lead. Minutes later, Kalimuendo Muinga (37') extended the lead before Xeka (45'+1) pulled one back for Lille in the Derby du Nord. "It’s hard to accept because usually, the team turns up in big matches, but not tonight," Jocelyn Gourvennec said after the defeat. "We looked the better side in the second half, but it wasn’t enough. We didn’t turn up. We’re extremely disappointed. I’m extremely disappointed. I feel like it’s an affront, like an injury, and it hurts, it really hurts," the Lille boss added. The defeat saw Lille drop two spots down the table, from 7th to 9th place, while having 48 points from 12W, 12D, & 8L. Looking to return to winning ways, DWDDL, Jocelyn Gourvennec could appear with the 4—4—1—1 formation, having Renato Sanches and Jonathan David in attack for this clash against Reims.

The Ligue 1 fixture, LOSC Lille vs. RC Lens, kicks off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 16, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille salvaged a point in the 1-1 draw against Angers last weekend at the Stade Raymond Kopa. An own goal from Tiago Djalo (64' O.G.) - his second of the season - eventually broke the stalemate, minutes after the hour mark, leaving Angers in the lead. But Lille would find the leveler through a stunning left-footed curler from the edge of the box by Edon Zhegrova (74'). Both sides failed to find the back of the net again, leaving Lille with back-to-back draws, WDWDD. In 7th place, Les Dogues have 48 points from 12W, 12D, & 7L, and are looking to return to winning ways in an attempt to move ahead of sixth-placed Monaco [50 points]. A draw would be less than ideal, while an outright defeat would see recent gains chalked off as Lille could find themselves dropping a few spots off the table. Lille have a great record against RC Lens, having lost only one of their last 13 Ligue 1 games against Les Sang et Or [9W, 3D, & 1L]. Furthermore, Les Dogues are unbeaten in their last eight Ligue 1 games [4W & 4D], shipping just one goal over that period. Jocelyn Gourvennec lined up an unconventional 4—2—2—2 with Jonathan David and Burak Yilmaz in attack for the game against SCOA and is expected to do so once again on Saturday. Yilmaz, who recently found his way back into Gourvennec’s heart following the bust-up between Ben Arfa and the 50-year-old manager, could be on his way to Turkey at the end of his deal this summer. A number of MLS outfits have also been associated with the 36-year-old. Ben Arfa remains suspended by the club over disciplinary issues, while Sven Botman is unavailable for the weekend.

The Ligue 1 fixture, Angers SCO vs. LOSC Lille kicks off at 14:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, April 10, at the Stade Raymond Kopa.

Lille were unable to find a way past ten-man Bordeaux and had to settle for a goalless draw at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. With the draw, the club moved one spot down the table, from 6th to 7th place, having picked up 47 points from 12W, 11D, and 7L. LOSC are unbeaten in five Ligue 1 games, WWDWD, picking up 11 points out of a possible 15. Lille has equal points with sixth-placed Monaco [37 points], and a win here could see LOSC move back into sixth place if Monaco fails to pick up maximum points against Troyes. Jocelyn Gourvennec and Les Dogues could adopt a 4—4—2 formation with the Canadian, Jonathan David, and the Turkish international, Burak Yilmaz, in attack. Yilmaz is expected to see more playing time following the recent burst up between Hatem Ben Arfa and Jocelyn Gourvennec in the dressing room. Ben Arfa has now been suspended and is set to be sacked by the club following the incident with the manager. In Gourvennec's press conference ahead of Sunday’s game, he said that he had "never seen that in all his career", speaking of the unpleasant episode that took place in the dressing room.

Following a narrow victory over the Yellow House, Les Dogues make their way back after the international break, looking to pick up a win over bottom-placed Bordeaux for a spot inside the top-five. The Ligue 1 fixture, LOSC Lille vs. FC Girondins de Bordeaux, kicks off at 18:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, April 2 at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Bordeaux are coming off three consecutive Ligue 1 defeats, DDLLL, following the 2-0 loss to Montpellier last weekend at the Matmut Atlantique. In 20th place, Bordeaux have only 22 points from 4W, 10D, & 15L, and are winless in their last 13 league games against a reigning champion [0W, 4D, & 9L]. - Their longest ever drought in such category in the top-flight. Bordeaux has the worst defense in the league this season, shipping a boat-load of 70 goals in just 29 Ligue 1 games. David Guion would like to keep the door shut against Les Dogues on Saturday when he lays out the 4—3—3 formation, having Sékou Mara at the middle of the attacking trio. Bordeaux could be without as many as five players due to injuries and triple yellow-card suspensions.

The Yellow House takes on Les Dogues this weekend, looking to pick themselves up after last weekend’s defeat to ESTAC. The Ligue 1 fixture, F.C. Nantes vs. LOSC Lille, kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Saturday, March 19, at Stade de la Beaujoire.

Despite a spirited performance, Lille crashed out of the UEFA Champions League following Wednesday’s 2-1 loss to Chelsea. Les Dogues were looking to overturn a two-goal deficit [2-0] from the reverse fixture, but conceded twice in the second-leg, while hitting the back of the net only once. Back in Ligue 1, Lille are looking to get back to winning ways following a goalless draw against Saint Étienne last time out at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. Sitting right above FC Nantes, in 6th place, only a point separates both sides. Les Dogues have 43 points from 11W, 10D, & 7L and remain unbeaten in five league games, WDWWD. A victory against the Yellow House would see Lille keep their place, while a defeat could see them drop to 8th place if unfavorable results emerge elsewhere. Jocelyn Gourvennec appears to be gearing up for a top-three finish, despite trailing the section by eight points. On Saturday, he could line up the 4—2—3—1 with Jonathan David in attack against Nantes. Renato Sanches (thigh injury), who failed to feature against Chelsea in Wednesday’s UCL clash, continues to remain in Milan’s conversations.

Following a goalless draw against Sainté, Les Dogues make their return to European soil against the Blues, looking to overturn a two-goal deficit from the first leg for a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. LOSC Lille vs. Chelsea F.C. kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Wednesday, March 16, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille were unable to find a way past Saint-Étienne over the weekend in Saturday’s Ligue 1 clash at home. The goalless draw leaves the club with only two victories in five games across all competitions; DLWWD. After a 2-0 defeat in the first leg, Les Dogues need to pick up their biggest home win against English opposition to remain in this season's edition of the UEFA Champions League. Goals at Stamford Bridge from Kai Havertz (8’) and Christian Pulišić (63’) saw Lille brushed aside after an underwhelming performance. The club is in this phase of the UEFA Champions League for only the second time, having been here for the first time in the 2006/07 edition of Europe’s most prestigious tournament. Back then, Lille were knocked out by English opposition in the shape of Manchester United and are now looking to avoid any feelings of Déjà vu at the end of Wednesday’s fixture when they take on the Blues. A 4—2—3—1 formation with Jonathan David at the top of the shape in attack is anticipated for this clash against Chelsea. Milan’s target, Renato Sanches, was forced off in the 25th minute against Saint-Étienne at the weekend. Reports suggest a muscle strain at the top of his adductor, which could leave him sidelined for a minimum of three weeks.

The League of Talents returns on the first day of the weekend with the game between Les Dogues and Les Verts. This Matchday 28 fixture presents itself after 270 games and 731 goals. Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder remains the league’s top scorer with 15 goals, while PSG’s Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi are neck-to-neck with a haul of 10 for the prize of King of Assists. Ligue 1 leaders PSG are 13 points clear at the top of the table, while Bordeaux sits at the bottom. LOSC Lille vs. AS Saint-Étienne kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Friday, March 11, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille swept ten-man Clermont Foot aside in Sunday’s 4-0 thrashing at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy. A laser-guided cross from Renato Sanches picked out Jonathan Bamba (3’) in the opening five minutes for the only goal of the first-half. Minutes into the second forty-five, Salis Abdul Samed [R. 68’] left Lille with the numerical advantage after receiving his second yellow card. A one-two with Renato Sanches saw Jonathan David (71’) double the lead before Memet Çelik (84') extended Lille’s lead to three. Edon Zhegrova (90’) wrapped up all three points for Les Dogues in the final minute of the game. Following the win, the club returns with back-to-back victories, LWDWW, while sitting in 7th place, five points outside the top-three. A victory here for Lille could see the club reduce the deficit to the top section if favorable results emerge in other intertwined fixtures. Lille has 42 points from 11W, 9D, and 7L. A fine home record which leaves the club with only one defeat in their last twelve episodes [6W, 5D, & 1L], puts Les Douges on the brink of picking up three victories in a row for the first time since September/October 2021. A late push for a top-three finish appears to be on the horizon for the champions, having been plagued with inconsistencies throughout the entire length of the season. Jocelyn Gourvennec lined up the unconventional 4—2—2—2 formation with Ben Arfa and Jonathan David in attack for last weekend's game against Foot. He is expected to stick to the same shape and personnel for Friday's clash against the Greens.

The French Ligue 1 fixture, LOSC Lille vs. Clermont Foot 63, kicks off at 17:05 (GMT+1) on Sunday, March 6, at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy.

Lille bounced back to winning ways last weekend following their 2-0 loss to Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League with a 1-0 victory over Lyon on domestic soil. A single goal from Gudmundsson (35’) late in the first half saw LOSC Lille bag all three points at the end of the clash at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais. The victory leaves Lille unbeaten in three games, LLWDW, and in eighth place, having picked up 39 points after 10W, 9D, & 7L. Lille's Jocelyn Gourvennec is looking to pick up back-to-back victories at the end of the weekend in a bid to consolidate the champion's late surge for a top-four finish. Just four points separate the Ligue 1 champions from the section, and a win here could see the gap cut in half if favorable results emerge in other intertwined fixtures of concern. Lille has lost only one of their last 11 Ligue 1 home games [5W, 5D, & 1L]. In addition, the club has lost only one of their last 12 games against promoted sides such as Clermont Foot in Ligue 1. Added together, a confident Jocelyn Gourvennec will have his eyes set on nothing less than a win on Sunday, despite knowing that Clermont are capable of springing surprises, having lost the reverse fixture to Foot. With the conventional 4—4—2 not providing the required cutting edge, Jocelyn Gourvennec switched to a more attacking-minded formation in the shape of a 4—2—3—1 for the game against Lyon, which featured Jonathan David in attack. Having picked up a win there, he is expected to stick with the same shape and personnel for Sunday’s game against Clermont.
