The upper mid-table clash between Real Sociedad and Real Betis Balompié kicks off at 20:00 (GMT+1) on Friday, April 15, at the Reale Arena.

Real Betis picked up a 2-1 win over Cadiz last weekend, and now have 56 points from 17W, 5D, and 9L, while looking to pick up three victories in a row, LWDWW. The Greens are aiming for their longest unbeaten run of the season, five in a row, on Friday, having avoided defeat in their last four La Liga fixtures. A draw will be enough for Real Betis to stay above Sociedad, but Manuel Pellegrini will have his eyes set on a win, in a bid to pile the pressure on Atletico Madrid, who take on Espanyol on Sunday. However, his side last recorded an away win over Sociedad back in 2003. Last weekend, Manuel Pellegrini lined up the familiar 4—2—3—1 formation with Willian Jose in attack against Cadiz. Minimal changes are expected in attack, with Juanmi, Nabil Fekir, and Sergio Canales all poised to remain behind the striker, who is on loan from Real Sociedad. On availability, Martin Montoya remains doubtful with a heel injury alongside Víctor Camarasa.

The LaLiga fixture, Real Betis Balompié vs. CA Osasuna, kicks off at 15:15 (GMT+1) on Sunday, April 3, at the Benito Villamarn.

Real Betis picked up a goalless draw against Celta Vigo last time out in La Liga, just before the international break. The Glorious failed to find a way past the Sky Blues despite taking 7 shots, with 1 OT. In 5th place, Betis have 50 points from 15W, 5D, and 9L, and are looking to return to winning ways (WLLWD) following the draw against Vigo. With the goalless draw, Real Betis kept two clean sheets and could see three in a row in LaLiga for the first time since September 2018 under the former Barcelona manager, Quique Setién. Betis are hoping that fourth-placed Atlético de Madrid [54 points] loses to Deportivo Alaves on Saturday, to see the four-point gap between themselves and Atlético Madrid reduced to a point. The Greens have won their last three episodes against Los Rojillos, also keeping a clean sheet on both occasions. Manuel Pellegrini would like to see his side shut the door on Osasuna once again to see three victories in a row. Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation may have Borja Iglesias at the top of the shape once again. Borja Iglesias has 8 goals in 25 LaLiga appearances and is looking to hit the back of the net again on Sunday. On availability, Martin Montoya remains doubtful with a heel injury alongside Víctor Camarasa.

After a defeat at the hands of the Yellow Submarine, the Sky Blues are back against the Greens, looking to pick up three points for a spot inside the top ten. The LaLiga fixture, RC Celta de Vigo vs. Real Betis Balompié, kicks off at 16:15 (GMT+1) on Sunday, March 20, at the Balaídos.

Real Betis picked up an aggregate 3-2 defeat to the Bundesliga side, Frankfurt, and crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday, despite a 1-1 draw against the Eagles at the Deutsche Bank Park. Back in the league, Betis picked up a 1-0 win over Athletic Club last weekend, courtesy of a goal from Borja Iglesias, in the 20th minute. The victory leaves the Greens with 49 points from 15W, 4D, & 9L, and a form that reads, "WWLLW." A Real Betis win could see the club break into the top-four if favorable outcomes emerge elsewhere, such as in the El Clásico, where third-placed Barcelona [51 points] take on Real Madrid. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation could see Borja Iglesias at the top of the shape once again for this fixture against Celta Vigo. On availability, Nabil Fekir [R. 80’] is suspended alongside Aitor Ruibal García having picked up a red card in the game against Athletic Club. In addition, Alex Moreno and Martin Montoya are on the list of possible absentees for the weekend, along with Víctor Camarasa.

The LaLiga fixture, Real Betis Balompié vs. Atlético de Madrid, kicks off at 21:00 (GMT+1) on Sunday, March 6 at the Benito Villamarín.

Real Betis picked up an aggregate 3-2 win over Rayo Vallecano on Thursday for a place in the Copa del Rey final against Valencia on April 23 at the venue: Estadio de La Cartuja. Both sides were locked in a 1-1 draw at the end of ninety minutes at the Benito Villamarín, leaving Betis through at the end of the semi-final second-leg clash. Back in LaLiga, Real Betis failed to earn a point in the Gran Derbi against Sevilla, coming out second best with a 2-1 defeat strapped across the shoulder. Having failed to pick up a point, Betis remains with 46 points from 14W, 4D, and 8L, looking to return to winning ways following last weekend’s defeat WLWWL. With Sevilla’s goalless draw against Deportivo Alaves on Friday, Real Betis look to cut the gap between themselves and the Sevillistas from nine to six points. The Greens have scored a league-high 15 goals from set-pieces and are looking to stun the current champions with a goal from the spot yet again when they make their 27th appearance of the season. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation may have Borja Iglesias at the top of the shape once again for this fixture against Atlético de Madrid. On availability, Sergio Canales is suspended, while Martin Montoya remains sidelined along with Juan Miranda.

The Great Derbi, Sevilla FC vs. Real Betis Balompié, kicks off at 16:15 (GMT+1) on Sunday, February 27, at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán.

Real Betis also qualified for the next round of the Europa League after a 3-2 aggregate win, following Thursday’s goalless draw against FC Zenit. On the 9th of March, Real Betis will take on Eintracht Frankfurt at home for the first leg of their UEFA Europa League round-of-16 clash. In 3rd place, Betis sits right below Sevilla in LaLiga, separated by five points, having picked up 46 points from 14W, 4D, and 7L, following the 2-1 win over Mallorca last weekend. Betis are coming off back-to-back victories, WWLWW, and are looking to pick up another victory to make it three in a row. A win would see Betis cut the deficit down to two points, while a defeat would see the gap between them and Sevilla grow to eight points. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation may have Borja Iglesias at the top of the shape for this fixture against Sevilla. On availability, Martin Montoya remains sidelined along with Juan Miranda.

The LaLiga fixture, Levante UD vs. Real Betis Balompié, kicks off at 16:15 (GMT+1) on Sunday, February 13, at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

Back on LaLiga soil, Betis picked up a 2-0 defeat to Villarreal last weekend at the Benito Villamarín. Despite the loss, Betis remains in 3rd place, ten points behind 2nd-placed Sevilla [50 points], following their second defeat in five LaLiga games, LDWWL. The club has 40 points from 12W, 4D, & 7L, and must win on Sunday to keep Sevilla in sight. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation could see Willian José at the top of the shape for this fixture against the Frogs. The club’s top scorer, Juanmi, failed to hit the back of the net in the last two games [across all competitions] and will have his eyes set upon goal on Sunday. The 28-year-old has 12 goals and 2 assists in 20 appearances for the club in LaLiga this season, leaving his contribution to the club's goal-scoring efforts at 34%. He is expected on the left, playing alongside Fekir and Cristian Tello as part of the trio behind Willian José. On availability, Claudio Bravo and Martin Montoya are on the list of possible absentees for the weekend, while Víctor Camarasa remains doubtful.

Betis will face Rayo Vallecano in the first leg of the semi-final clash on Wednesday, Feb. 9. Back on LaLiga soil, Betis picked up a 4-1 win over ten-man Espanyol at the Cornellà-El Prat just over two weeks ago. The impressive win leaves Betis in 3rd place, six points behind 2nd-placed Sevilla, after picking up back-to-back victories following three games without a win, LLDWW. The club has 40 points from 12W, 4D, & 6L, and a victory on Sunday will see Betis keep Sevilla in sight. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation could see Willian José at the top of the shape for this fixture against the Yellow Submarine. Juanmi, who bagged a brace in the Copa del Rey win over Sociedad, is expected on the left flank, playing alongside Fekir and Sergio Canales as part of the trio behind Willian José. The 28-year-old has 12 goals and 2 assists in his 19 appearances for the club in LaLiga this season, leaving his contribution to the club's goal-scoring efforts at 34%. A brace from Iago Aspas (36' P. & 45’+2) saw Betis pick up back-to-back defeats: WWWLL. Manuel Pellegrini’s 4—2—3—1 formation could see Borja Iglesias at the top of the shape once again. Juanmi, who has been in remarkable goal-scoring form, failed to find the back of the net last weekend but remains the club’s top scorer with 11 goals. Juanmi has also bagged two assists in his 17 appearances for the club in LaLiga this season, leaving his contribution to the club's goal-scoring efforts at 41%.
